Handmade Samurai Katana Sword, Heat Tempered, Inlaid Tsuba, Leather and Wood Scabbard

The ancient methods used in the forging of this katana by hand have existed for over 2600 years. Crafting a high-quality sword involves more than 20 major processes, including smelting, blanking, hot forging, shoveling, filing, grinding, and decoration, with each process encompassing several smaller steps. Through the crucial process of local quenching, the sword's hardness and strength are significantly increased, resulting in a sharper blade. From coarse to fine, the blade undergoes more than ten grinding processes in succession, leaving it with a sharp, flat, and bright finish, a straight ridge line, and a standard groove line. The exquisite decoration of the tsuka, saya, and tsuba is also an integral part of the sword's craftsermanship.

Introducing the Tamahagane Fully Handmade Quality Japanese Samurai Katana Sword. This exceptional weapon features an iron tsuba inlaid with silver, a full tang, and a functional design. With an approximately 27.2-inch blade, a 10.24-inch handle, a 1.26-inch blade width, and a 0.28-inch blade thickness, the overall length of the sword is 40.6 inches, with a hardness of 60 HRC.

The wooden handle is wrapped in black samegawa skin and Japanese cotton thread, adorned with a golden menuki. The carved leather and wood core scabbard is tied with a black Japanese cotton sageo, adding to the sword's elegant and traditional appearance.
